The Lake Poaka Campsite is a free, basic Department of Conservation (DOC) camping area nestled in a picturesque wetland setting. Squeezed between the edge of Lake Poaka and the Pukaki Hydro Canal, it serves as an excellent, budget-friendly base for exploring the Mackenzie Region.
